The long road to a perfect floor
It takes about 50 years to produce a Kährs floor. The tree has to grow, be cared for and then felled. The logs must be sawn. The timber dried. The strips sanded and sorted. Some boards are brushed, bevelled or stained to enhance the beauty of the surface. Finally, the floors have to be lacquered or oiled and then packaged before they can be transported to you.
Creating a beautiful, top-quality wood floor is a complicated process requiring the commitment and expertise of talented craftsmen. In this section you can find out more about how our floors are created. You will also find some examples of interior design styles, as well as information about the impact a floor can have on the overall impression of a room.
