Kährs Activity Floor

A wood floor for every activity

Kährs Activity Floor is 30 mm thick and has an extra layer of wood within its construction. This fourth layer is an absorption layer, using several layers of polyethylene and polyether which provide the correct energy absorption qualities.

A pioneer of sports flooring

In 1965, Kährs was granted a patent on a completely new sports floor structure, based on underlying flexible battens, which resulted in a wonderfully springy floor that gently absorbed the impacts from activities. Most modern sports floors are still using this Kährs design, in one way or another.

In 2004, Kährs launched a new sports floor – Kährs Activity Floor – which can be installed even more quickly and over a larger area. The floor is approved for the global standard for sports floors – DIN – and is used at major sporting events, such as the FISAF World and European Aerobics Championships.
