The long road to a perfect floor
It takes about 50 years to produce a Kährs floor. The tree has to grow, be cared for and then harvested. The logs must be sawn. The timber dried. The strips sanded and sorted. Some boards are brushed, beveled or stained to enhance the beauty of the surface. Finally, the floors have to be finished or oiled and then packaged before they can be transported to you.
Creating a beautiful, top-quality wood floor is a complicated process requiring the commitment and expertise of talented craftsmen. In this section you can find out more about how our floors are created. You will also find some examples of interior design trends, as well as about the impact of the floor on the overall impression of a room.
